Take note of the areas between the circular scars. As the discharges become closer in spacing the crater chain begins to take on the appearance of a weld bead. Once they reach a certain spacing the imprints take on an individualized appearance. The CRT features were made with varying lateral speeds or a straight-on approach, the faster the passage the greater the spacing from centerpoints.

The following features were not made with a probe. They were made randomly as another monitor passed in close proximity to this screen's surface. The features on the other monitor are negative-relief spiders.
