A person could say we live in an electrilytic universe.
Where does the electrical potential come from?
In an effort to keep things simple and basic;
i propose that the electric currents that manifest themselves in space in
various forms are a consequence of electrolytic interactions between
regions of space as well as local molecular characteristics.
What really happens to matter when it is not longer held in confinement by controlling forces?
Some thoughts about 'what electricity is' have emerged from the experiments of James Roe
How or if his experiments might be applied is open for discussion.
Galvanic Corrosion is one manifestation of electrolysis, it occures when two
dissimilar materials are brought into contact via some medium such as
water, especially humid air (an electrolyte). Air is an insulator, the absence of air in the
low pressure environment of space may offer the ideal environment for the transfer of
charge. The dissimilar molecules are no longer seperated by molecules of air, they would be in direct contact
with no insulating substance between them. Interaction would be a chain reaction.
Space is a plasma, the fourth state of matter.
An explanation of earth-bound electroysis can be viewed at the link. Pay special attention to causes for focused electrolysis, concentration cells.
